The Timiza Youth Initiative, Ticah (Trust for Indigenous Culture and Health), and Angaza Organization collaborated on a workshop focused on addressing crucial issues related to Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) and Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE). Representatives from various sectors, including the Department of Health, Gender, and Youth, as well as officials from the State Department of Gender and Youth and County Commissioner’s offices, took part in the workshop.
Discussions during the workshop covered a wide range of topics on SRH and CSE, emphasizing their significant impact on the community. Key areas of discussion included identifying gaps in implementing CSE, developing strategies to improve SRH policies, and incorporating CSE into existing frameworks.
From interactive group sessions, proactive recommendations were formulated to guide practical tactics for policy changes. The workshop’s outcomes underscored the importance of collaboration in addressing SRH and CSE issues within the community. By promoting meaningful conversations on CSE issues, these efforts aim to bring about policy changes and advocacy campaigns that protect people’s well-being and promote the growth of healthy communities.
