The Kilifi County Disability Network Technical Working Group organized a revolutionary 3-day workshop focused on promoting inclusivity in advocacy for disability rights. During the workshop, attendees, including CEC Dr. Ruth D. Masha , gained a deep understanding of important terms and discussed crucial topics such as reasonable accommodation requests and creating effective responses.
With the support of the Department of Social Services, the Kilifi County Government will work towards integrating disability-friendly services into infrastructure, offering specialized caregiver training, and facilitating the issuance of identification cards for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), demonstrating a significant commitment to inclusivity.
