Jumuiya ya Kaunti za Pwani

Consulting
In an organized endeavor to utilize the profound cultural legacy and promising potential of the coastal region, the Jumuiya Youth and Sports Sector Working Group has been reestablished within Jumuiya ya Kaunti za Pwani (JKP). This serves as a platform to tackle fundamental challenges, celebrate accomplishments, explore opportunities, and exchange best practices with the goal of unlocking the economic and social possibilities within these sectors.
Dr. Ruth Dama Masha, the recently appointed Chairperson of the Sector Working Group, took the lead in this effort. During a dynamic meeting, she collaborated with fellow County Executive Committee Members from Mombasa, Kwale, Lamu, Tana River, and Taita Taveta, courtesy of the Jumuiya ya Kaunti za Pwani.
CEC Dr. Ruth was accompanied by Chief Officers Ms. Agnetta Karembo and Mr. Naftali Owino, as well as Sports Officer Ms. Melda and Cultural Officer Ms. Jacinta, who leveraged Kilifi County’s cultural diversity, youth vitality, and sports to promote economic empowerment and social development. Key suggestions arising from Kilifi County included advocating for a culturally responsive budget, unified policies to safeguard cultural heritage, and the incorporation of indigenous games alongside modern sports to enhance tourism appeal.
The counties vowed to support joint events and committed to establishing a funding model and unified initiatives through collaborations and connections. This collaborative approach ensures that resources are effectively pooled and programs are strategically implemented to maximize impact across the coastal region.
