In a vibrant conclusion to the Founders celebrations, the Malindi chapter of the Kenya Scouts Association concluded festivities at Kakuyuni Primary School in Malindi sub-county.
The event witnessed the active participation of 260 pupils and 22 teachers from various primary and secondary schools, who stayed at Kakuyuni for the occasion.
The ceremony not only marked the end of the celebrations but also emphasized the Association’s diverse contributions to youth development and community service. Scouts engaged in a variety of activities, ranging from promoting environmental awareness to fostering citizenship education and character development. Additionally, they embraced adventure through camping and hiking, all while promoting cultural exchange among participants.
Social Welfare Officer Mr. Don Owili, representing the Department, reiterated the department’s dedication to collaborating with the Scouts in their initiatives and their commitment to nurturing the comprehensive development of young individuals and their unwavering dedication to improving society.
