Representatives from the Aga Khan Foundation and Dream Achievers Youth Organization paid a courtesy visit to the office of CEC Dr. Ruth Dama Masha to extend an invitation for the department to actively participate in the information and evidence-sharing close out activity integral to the Aga Khan Foundation Global Learning Initiative.
The initiative, titled “Advancing Gender Equality through Civil Society,” has set its sights on combating gender inequalities by enhancing the capacities of local civil society organizations. The initiative has been able to make a meaningful impact by reaching out to over 149,064 women and girls.
During the meeting, which also included Director of Gender and Youth, Mr Cyrillus Mwangome, the representatives engaged in a fruitful discussion regarding how the initiative has aligned with and is favorable to the community of Kilifi. By joining hands with the Aga Khan Foundation and Dream Achievers Youth Organization, Kilifi county through the department has the opportunity to play a pivotal role in the global initiative, contributing to the overall goal of advancing gender equality.
