The Kilifi County Disability Network held a media review session to assess its Terms of Reference for 2023-2025, focusing on disability mainstreaming to promote inclusivity and equitable access to services for people with disabilities (PWDs). The session emphasized the county’s commitment to upholding PWD rights and integrating disability considerations into all aspects of planning and service delivery.

The Kilifi County Government, through the Directorate of Social Services, is dedicated to enhancing disability mainstreaming efforts, providing capacity-building initiatives, and offering training on disability etiquette. The goal is to educate county staff and the broader community about inclusivity and respect for PWDs. In addition, the county is working on strengthening legal frameworks to protect and promote PWD rights, ensuring accessibility and equal opportunities in all sectors.
