It was an honor to host Mr. Gordon Muga, Senior Deputy Secretary from the National Disaster Operations Center (NDOC), along with his delegation, during their visit to my office this morning.
We discussed the upcoming National Symposium for Disaster Risk Reduction, taking place on October 14-16, 2024, and the International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction (IDDRR) on October 17, which will be commemorated in Kilifi County.
This delegation is here to activate the Interim Planning Committee in preparation for these important events. We extend our gratitude to the National Government for choosing Kilifi County as the host for these significant gatherings. Together, we aim to make a positive impact on disaster preparedness and resilience.
