In a proactive step towards promoting equitable development, CEC Dr Ruth Dama Masha, accompanied by Chief Officers Ms Agnetta Karembo and Mr Naftali Owino, along with other departmental officials, convened a consultative meeting with the Committee of Gender, Culture, Sports, Youth Affairs, and Social Services, under the leadership of Hon. Agnes Sidi. The primary objective of the meeting was to discuss the County’s proposed Budget
During a two-day workshop, stakeholders gathered to develop an Implementation Framework aimed at addressing Gender-Based Violence (GBV).
Chief Officer Ms. Agnetta Karembo initiated the proceedings by emphasizing the need for a collaborative approach to effectively combat this critical issue.
Throughout the workshop, participants, including representatives from various sectors and organizations, engaged in extensive discussions to align tasks with strategic objectives outlined in the GBV Policy. These dialogues facilitated a meaningful exchange of insights and ideas, enhancing the development of the implementation framework.
As the workshop concluded, Director of Gender and Youth Mr. Mwangome expressed deep appreciation to all attendees for their steadfast commitment and dedication to advancing the GBV agenda. Their combined efforts marked a pivotal moment in the ongoing journey towards creating a safer and more inclusive society for all.
