The newly elected leaders of the Kilifi County Comrades Association (KCCA) underwent a formal induction into their roles. The main objective of this program was to equip the leaders with vital skills necessary for effective leadership in the 21st century, with a particular emphasis on the important role played by youth in Kilifi County.
One notable presence among the distinguished guests was CEC Dr. Ruth Dama Masha, who attended as a guest speaker. Other esteemed County Executive Committee Members from various departments such as Education and ICT, Lands, Energy, Housing, Physical Planning & Urban Devt, Water, Environment, Climate Change & Solid Waste Mgmt, Health and Sanitation Services, Agriculture, Livestock and Blue Economy, and the Governor’s Delivery Unit – Kilifi County, also participated and provided valuable insights to the program.
The ceremony was graced by the chief guest, H.E the Deputy Governor, Hon Flora Mbetsa Chibule, adding further significance to the event.
The importance of youth in Kilifi County was stressed by every speaker.
Dr. Ruth Dama Masha advised the new leaders to be flexible, remain humble, and prioritize social connections. She emphasized the significance of independence, dedication, and trustworthiness in youth leadership. The Department expects a productive partnership with KCCA to enhance Kilifi County, and the community eagerly anticipates observing the positive influence of the newly appointed leaders as they fulfil their duties.
