KGSTWG quarterly meeting

The Kilifi Gender Stakeholder Technical Working Group (KGSTWG) held its third quarterly meeting, highlighting programs and activities from the past quarter. The session concentrated on key thematic areas showcasing a commitment to addressing diverse aspects of gender advocacy.
Representatives from CSOs passionately presented comprehensive reports on the initiatives carried out during the previous quarter. The discussions encompassed a post-mortem analysis of past events, notably the impactful 16 Days of Activism, with an emphasis on acknowledging achievements and identifying areas for improvement.
Looking forward, the group reviewed plans for the upcoming International Women’s Day, where Partners were briefed on the concept, and planning meetings are set to kick off in the coming month to ensure a successful and impactful celebration.
The Department of Gender expressed its unwavering commitment to leveraging these collaborative sessions with partners. According to the CEC Dr. Ruth D. Masha who was present,these meetings serve as a vital platform to strategize, coordinate efforts, and implement effective measures in the pursuit of gender equality and empowerment.
Other attendees at the meeting included, County Director of Gender and Youth Mr. Cyrillus Mwangome, State Department Director of Gender Ms. Georgina Dhulu, County Gender and Youth Officer, Ms Maryline Faida and other county officials.
