Representatives from various county departments, including agriculture, livestock, fisheries, gender, and trade, collaborated to provide the attendees with the essential skills and knowledge needed to succeed in agriculture. At the workshop’s conclusion, Mr. Cyrillus Mwangome, the Director, underscored the importance of the training and encouraged participants to seize the opportunity for personal and communal growth. Notable attendees included Hon. Mariam Mkumbi, the nominated MCA from Rabai Sub County, and Chief Officer, Ms. Agnetta Karembo, whose presence reinforced the leadership’s dedication to inclusive development initiatives.

The workshop addressed a wide range of topics such as fish farming, aquaculture, goat, cow, and chicken rearing, and tree planting in nurseries. On the third day, participants visited the Kenya Agricultural and Livestock Research Organization (KALRO) to observe innovative agricultural practices firsthand, gaining valuable insights into sustainable farming techniques and technological advancements that could benefit their communities. The success of the workshop is seen as a driver for change, inspiring other wards to embrace similar inclusive approaches in their development efforts. Through collaborative action and a shared commitment, the Kilifi County Government is setting the stage for a more equitable and prosperous future for all.
